Jackbox Games had a panel at recent C2E2, where they announced the next project, The Jackbox Party Pack 5.

Today:

Five games at Pack 5?

High chance of «yes, five». The first game was already announced — Jack comes back to You Don’t Know Jack 2018! (earlier we translated the original post).

Some features of new Jack:

• Eight player support
• Bigger, crazier Jack Attack
• New question types
• Audience integration
• Brand new fart sounds
• Streaming features
• Begrudging meme references
• New ways to Screw
• A lot of old fart sounds too
• More than one Frasier joke for some reason.

«Great» list of improvements, ain’t it? More players now (up to 8) and audience arrival.

But, there are four more games left unknown. One of them, hopefully, will be announced tomorrow during Jackbox Games’ stream.

Technical updates

AFAWK (we), there won’t be any significant gameplay and game process changes, so jackbox.tv [jackbox.fun] will not go away 🙂

Let’s move to the most sweet — game insides. As far as we know, two of Party Pack 5 games are still in template stage (probably, being actively developed), the other two, however, have some content and materials. Today we will talk about these two.

MIC DROP CITY

Dear passengers! Train to Mic Drop City departs from the 2nd platform.

— Huh?

— Yeah-yeah. We’ve just entered the train to «Mic Drop City» (at least, the ticket says so). Hey, you slowpoke, look at the logo on the ticket.

— Not bad. What we gonna do, shame our opponents or make rhymes?

— Wow, you’re brainy. Let’s go with rhymes: lunch…

— Punch!

Actually, we don’t have enough money to bring Eminem here, so two anonymous personnages would work. 

Come on rapers! Jackbox meets rhymers with a new Party Pack 5 game. There’s no need to throw your microphone at opponent’s face — it’s enough to make rhymes, even if «my words are complicated, hoping i’m not degenerated» — the game offers some help if you are in trouble. Rhyme your opponents, win the battle and become the Mic Drop King!

…maybe this would be the announcement text if we did the game.

Rhymes, dropping mics and battle — looks like these are the key parts of the game.

This game will feature three to more players, probably.

Announcement chance: high.
